INTI RAYMI SUN FESTIVAL 2011
Description
Discover the land of the Incas and
the charm of the andean world
visiting the capital of the inca
empire and its majestic sacred
places like Koricancha sun temple
the place were the first ceremony of
the Inti Raymi sun festival to honor
the god sun Wiracocha will take
place. Then the Inca, his soldiers
and ñustas will head through the
streets towards the main square were
a second ceremony will take place
delivering quipus afterwards on the
Sacsayhuaman esplanade the main
ceremony will be conducted for 3 to
4 hours more, at an indicated time
return to Cusco and overnight in
your hotel.
PROGRAM
DAY 01.-CUSCO CITY TOUR PLUS FOUR
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES
Reception at the airport and
transfer to your hotel morning free.
At
1300 City tour visiting the
Qorikancha, Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman,
Q’enqo, Puca pucara and Tambomachay
Inca springs return to the hotel
overnight.
DAY 02.- INTI RAYMI SUN FESTIVAL
Pick
up form your hotel and transfer to
the Qorikancha sun temple,
afterwards to the main square and
then by bus to the Sacsayhuaman for
the main Inti Raymi ceremony
including box lunch and guide.
DAY 03.- MACHU PICCHU TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer
to the Poroy train station to board
the wagon to Aguas Calientes, once
in the villaje you will board the
bus that will take you to the
Machupicchu sanctuary for your
guided 3 hours visit. Afterwards you
will have free time to take more
pictures, at the indicated time
return to Aguas calientes train
station to board your return wagon
to the Poroy train station then
transfer to your hotel.
DAY 4.- TRANSFER HOTEL AIRPORT
Breakfast in the hotel and at the
indicated time transfer to the
airport to board your flight to
Lima.
